Krungthep Bridge will be closed for repairs between 9pm until 4am, starting on Monday until Dec 30, according to the Department of Rural Roads.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes until repairs of the drawbridge's double-leafs are completed.
The Krungthep Bridge, which opened on June 25, 1959, is the second bridge to be built across the Chao Phraya River. Heavy congestion on the bridge led to the construction of the nearby Rama III Bridge.
It was constructed by Fuji Car Manufacturing Co at a cost of 31,912,500 baht.
