KPop Demon Hunters 2 may still be a way off yet, but at least we have this new short to quite literally whet our appetite

Huntrix and the Saja Boys return in a new KPop Demon Hunters short, as an unlikely collaboration sees them battling for (fast food-loving) fans.

Announced on March 24, Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix are teaming up with McDonald's to bring out combo meals centered around the two rival bands: Huntrix's is a 10-chicken nugget affair complete with Ramyeon McShaker fries, while the Saja Boys are catering to our breakfast needs with a sausage and egg McMuffin topped with Spicy Saja sauce.

Fittingly, the latter comes with a little soda pop, too – though we're not entirely sold on that being someone's first beverage of the day. Watch the ad below...

"Everything we do at McDonald's is for the fans, and no one can relate to that more than Netflix and KPop Demon Hunters," Alyssa Buetikofer, the chain's chief marketing and customer experience officer, stated in a press release. "Big things happen when you bring two massive fandoms together, and this partnership was a natural fit."

Released in 2025, KPop Demon Hunters follows singers Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, as they come up with new hit tracks to maintain the Honmoon, a magical, music-fuelled barrier that prevents evil entities from entering the real world. The balance is upset, though, when the underworld sends a Beelzebub-esque boy band to steal Huntrix's admirers – and break the barrier once and for all. A sequel is currently in the works.

"I feel immense pride as a Korean filmmaker that the audience wants more from this Korean story and our Korean characters," co-director Maggie Kang stated when the follow-up was officially announced. "There's so much more to this world we have built, and I'm excited to show you. This is only the beginning."

"These characters are like family to us, their world has become our second home," co-director Chris Appelhans added. "We're excited to write their next chapter, challenge them, and watch them evolve - and continue pushing the boundaries of how music, animation, and story can come together."
