Konnie Huq hasn't bought clothes for 10 years because she was the same size at 18

Konnie Huq said she hasn't bought clothes for more than a decade.

The Blue Peter host, 44, appeared on Loose Women on Wednesday where she discussed her reasoning for choosing not to purchase any new garments.

Konnie delved into her timeless looks and insisted she "doesn't need" to buy clothes as she has remained the same size since she was 18.

The star admitted: "I am still the same size since I was 18 years old.

"The thing is, when you are on TV, often you get clothes bought for you so I don't need them.

"I haven't stopped growing. I'm still the same size I was when I was 18 years old. That means I'm tiny!..."

The beauty also explained while she was starring in Blue Peter, she found no reason to go out and add to her wardrobe as she was constantly dressed by the styling team.

She explained: "Basically when you're on something like Blue Peter you get clothes bought for you so I don't need them.

"I do the thing of mending and making do."

Konnie was chatting about how hard it to exercise when you’re a working mum and how she has teamed up with This Girl Can to encourage women to go to their local free parkrun on Saturday 7 March ahead of International Women’s Day.

Sport England’s This Girl Can is teaming up with parkrun to champion women by hosting a free event that will be taking place at various parkrun locations across the nation on Saturday 7 March.

Viewers who tuned into the daytime topic show were not only left baffled by the brunette's frugal admission but also because of her youthful glow.

Fans claimed Konnie hadn't aged a day since she first graced screens on Blue Peter in 1997.

On Twitter , they both questioned how she's kept her sprightly looks and begged for the name of the anti-wrinkle cream she uses.

"Please, please share the name of the moisturiser and anti-wrinkle cream you use. I need to look this young!" wrote one enthusiastic viewer.

Others added: "Wow, she must have so much money not buying any clothes. I'm kind of inspired, kind of unimpressed too?!"

"I just cannot get over how young Konnie looks, she's so stunning!"

Earlier this year, Konnie's husband Charlie Brooker paid tribute to the TV star and their two sons.

The Black Mirror guru shared his whirlwind romance with her and becoming a parent changed him for the better.

Talented Charlie told BBC 4's Desert Island Discs marrying Konnie was the best decision he had ever made.

The couple tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2010 after just nine months of dating.

Charlie said: "That was absolutely the right time. It was weird because, for years, I'd not known if I'd wanted kids or a family, that seemed like something that other people did, I couldn't perceive of that as a future.

"And then Konnie came along and quite early on she said, 'I want kids and a family' and this sort of thing.

"And I heard myself going "OK", and sort of thought, "oh, right, why have I said that? It was the best decision I ever made."
