KOLKATA: An elderly businessman from Entally was robbed of Rs 30 lakh by a woman he befriended on Facebook. A complaint has been filed.
The woman, apparently from the Netherlands, claimed she had arrived at Delhi airport with 50,000 Euros and expensive gifts for him but had to clear a penalty at the Customs. On Thursday, the man got a call from another woman, who posed as a Customs officer, and asked for the "fine". The man transferred Rs 29,77,997 in nine instalments.
