- Kneecap rapper Liam Og O hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara, has stated that labelling the group as antisemitic "waters that term down", following accusations.
- He will not face a terror trial after being accused of displaying a flag in support of proscribed organisation Hezbollah at a gig in November 2024.
- O hAnnaidh told the Big Issue that it is "impossible" to be perfectly conscious during a high-adrenaline performance and reiterated that the group is not antisemitic.
- The case was initially thrown out in September last year, with a subsequent appeal by the Crown Prosecution Service at the High Court being dismissed last week.
- Band member Moglai Bap highlighted the group's origins in Northern Ireland and their strong opposition to all forms of discrimination and religious conflict.
