Georgia coach Kirby Smart did not hide his affection for the university at a recent question-and-answer session in his hometown of Bainbridge, Georgia.
“I have more passion and energy in my heart for the University of Georgia than you’ll ever realize,” he said. “…It did more for me than anything I’ve been to in my life.”
When asked how long he intends to stay with the program, Smart responded, “Why would I leave home?”
These have to be comforting words for Georgia fans to hear from the man who’s already made himself one of the most decorated coaches in school history just a few years into his tenure.
