Gaining miles and unlocking machines is what’s on every player’s mind right now in the Kirby Air Rider community. Whether you’re just starting and getting a feel for the game or have been mastering the skill of earning miles since release, there’s always room for improvement. Fortunately, developer Masahiro Sakurai didn’t make gaining miles fast rocket science.
While there are numerous methods to farm miles, not all of them are efficient. And since you require miles for every in-game purchase, it’s important to know you’re not wasting time. So today, we’re going to tell you the best ways to farm miles in Kirby Air Riders. Anyone can use these methods since they don’t require a skill floor. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
How To Earn Miles Easily In Kirby Air Riders

Miles can be earned through almost anything in KAR. Every race or activity earns you a certain number of miles. But most aren’t very profitable, and if your main goal is to rack up that mile counter fast, here are the best ways to do it.
Road Trip Challenge Encounters
Road Trip Challenge encounters are by far the best method to earn miles, quick and easy. All you need to do is complete the objectives during your run, like collecting file balloons or completing time trials. Time trials may take a while to get used to, but once you’ve mastered them, you can finish them on repeat to make a mile farm.
When doing Road Trip challenges, it is preferable to pick the yellow ones. These are easy challenges, and while they give fewer miles compared to harder challenges, they can be rinsed and repeated at a faster rate. Mistakes are also less punishable in these encounters. Once completed, restart the road trip to repeat.
Tip: Always pick an easy map and one that you’re comfortable with. Each map requires a particular type of machine to ace it. Make sure you unlock those particular machines first to rack up miles faster, e.g. Swerve Star.
Air Ride Free Run
Similar to Road Trip Challenges, you’ll want to complete high-mile payout objectives as fast as possible in Air Ride Free Run. Here, the encounters will be a bit different, like doing laps without crashing or gliding to earn the most miles.
If speed isn’t your thing, you can try going for precision. There are checklist objectives for collecting a particular item in-game, e.g. file balloons. These also payout a decent amount of miles and can be used to gain them pretty quickly. Remember to pick challenges you’re comfortable with to maximise mile earnings.
By following these methods, you’ll be able to farm a lot of miles quickly and get one step closer to unlocking everything.
