'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' box office collection Day 3: Owen Teague and Freya Allan starrer rules over Indian box office

'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' emerged as a formidable force both domestically and internationally, dominating the box office in its debut weekend.

The film made a roaring entry into the Indian box office arena, raking in an estimated Rs 12.03 crore in its first three days of release. It made a promising start with a collection of Rs 3.15 crore on its opening day across multiple languages including English, Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. The momentum continued over the weekend, witnessing a gradual surge with collections reaching Rs 4.37 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.51 crore on Sunday.

'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' not only asserted its dominance at the Indian box office, but also emerged as the reigning champion among the month's film releases, outperforming new Bollywood contenders and even surpassing the collections of 'The Fall Guy', starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, in its opening weekend.

On the global stage, the film continued its triumphant march, amassing an impressive total of $129 million. In the United States, it seized the top spot at the box office with a remarkable $56.5 million opening, injecting vitality into an uncertain theatrical landscape.

Directed by Wes Ball, the film is set 300 years after 'War for the Planet of the Apes,' depicting a world completely under the control of articulate primates, while humans struggle to survive on the fringes of society. Owen Teague shines as the resourceful ape Noa, alongside Freya Allan as Mae, a human with the ability to speak. The ensemble cast also features Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy in pivotal roles.

As 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' continues to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative and stunning visuals, it solidifies its status as a cinematic triumph, promising to leave an indelible mark on the annals of film history.
