Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received on Tuesday General Auditing Bureau’s (GAB) 58th annual report, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

GAB President Dr. Hossam bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Anqari and a number of the Bureau's officials delivered the report to King Salman at the Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh.

The report includes the Bureau’s most significant achievements and results of the financial audit.

King Salman expressed his gratitude to the GAB staff, wishing them all success in their duties to serve their religion and homeland.

Anqari said: "The total amounts collected, supplied or provided to the Public Treasury during the fiscal year amounted to about SR9 billion, an increase of four times more than what was achieved in the previous fiscal year.”

“The total amounts demanded to be collected by GAB amounted to about SR38 billion, almost double the amount claimed back in the previous fiscal year. This substantial increase pertaining to the results of the collection reflected the high level of quality of the GAB's professional performance."
