Kim Kardashian stuns family by announcing plans to go on dating show The Bachelorette

Kim Kardashian gathered her family to share some “exciting” news with them.

The SKIMs mogul, 42, even stood up for the big reveal, leaving younger sister Kylie Jenner fearing that the mum-of-four was pregnant.

“No, by who? The 500 people I’m dating?” laughed Kim, whose divorce from rapper Kanye West was finalised last November.

“An executive from Disney called me,’ she continued, before addressing her momager. “Rob Mills… You know these people but they wanted to call me directly, and I was going to connect them with you once I decided if I was going to do it or not…

“I’m going to do the show, The Bachelorette. I’m going to be the Bachelorette!”

The news went down like a lead balloon with the famous clan who, for once, were stunned into absolute silence.

The first to speak was Khloe, who immediately shot down the notion.

“Kim, 100 per cent you’re not doing that,” she exclaimed. “You’re going to be stuck in a house with 20 strange men that you have to make out with on camera? Are you okay?!”

“I’m so serious,” she insisted. “They’re going to do it in Malibu, that’s so close by!

“I’ve thought this through, and I thought it was so much fun.”

Digesting what she had been told in a confessional, the Good American designer remained unconvinced, reasoning her sister would struggle on the program as she “doesn’t know how to be drunk”, and would be lost without her glam team.

She also said that the idea of watching her sibling “kissing 20 men” sounded “gross”.

Kris was also having none of it.

“Nope. I’m your momager, manager, mother, name a title. I’ll put any hat on that you want, but you’re not doing it,” she told the camera resolutely.

Adding: “I watch the show, I love the show, but did I want my daughter on the show? Oh, hell no!”

She then got straight on the phone to Mills, who serves as the executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment for Disney to see just what he was playing at.

He seemed delighted by the coup and explained that they were “probably 90 per cent there” in terms of the contract negotiations, leaving Kris flabbergasted.

“I just need to wrap my head around something like this because this isn’t exactly the space I saw Kim in,” she frantically told him. “She does have four kids and a big, busy life.”

Kim waited until her mum had put the phone down before revealing it had all been a prank.

“I’m kidding, it was a prank! The head of Disney was in on it!” she told Kris, who clearly needed to sit down after that one.
