Kim Kardashian’s Tiny Waist At Jeff Bezos’ Wedding Festivities Reignites Wild Theory About Her Ribs

It wouldn’t be a billionaire’s wedding without a dash of celebrity hysteria, and Kim Kardashian delivered.

As Venice plays host to the nuptials of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, Kim was seemingly party-ready after arriving in the Italian city.

But her itty bitty waist reignited rumors of the reality TV star undergoing surgery to achieve her hourglass midsection.

Kim was captured on Thursday with her sister, Khloé, as they took a water taxi and walked up to the Gritti Palace hotel.

The Skims founder was dressed in a black Balenciaga maxi skirt teamed with a Maison Margiela bandeau top.

She also had a sporty black hoodie shrugged around her arms like a shawl.

Meanwhile, her younger sister wore a leopard-print catsuit—one of the designs from Kim’s Skims x Dolce & Gabbana collaboration.

They were captured meeting and greeting other stars who arrived in the dreamy city for the lavish billionaire wedding.

As photos circulated online, so did fresh speculation about Kim’s teeny-tiny waist.

Netizens reignited long-standing claims about the mother-of-four surgically removing her ribs to have one of the most talk-about torsos in showbiz.

She had her “bones removed again,” one speculated.

Another claimed, “Kim has had ribs removed to reduce the size of her waist- done some time ago.”

“Everyone should have surgery on their waist to attend a wedding,” said yet another.

Kim has faced speculation about removing her ribs in the past as well.

After her 2019 Met Gala look that featured a Thierry Mugler minidress, netizens wrote, “It’s insulting to our intelligence to pretend this is from a plant based diet and not from getting actual ribs removed.”

Kim responded to the rumors the same year and said she wasn’t even aware of such a procedure.

“I don’t even know if that’s possible,” she told WSJ Magazine.

However, she did admit that the ultra body-hugging Met Gala outfit by the French designer put her in a lot of pain.

“I have never felt pain like that in my life,” she told the outlet. “I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off — the indentations on my back and my stomach.”

Kim’s trainer, Melissa Alcantara, even shared a message about how the beauty mogul worked hard to maintain her slim body.

“To make things clear,” Melissa wrote on Instagram at the time. “1. This dress is corseted BUT 2. Kim trains her ass off 6 days a f–king week, she wakes up early AF and is dedicated.”

Kim’s 2024 Met Gala look also sparked similar speculation after she wore a silver brocade corset, created by John Galliano for Maison Margiela.

“I’m not as uncomfortable as I might look,” she said about the outfit in a later episode of The Kardashians. “It’s definitely a performance piece. I mean, God bless the Bridgerton cast that has to dress like this every single day. That would be so difficult.”

Kim’s waist has long been a subject of widespread fascination.

In a video she shared online in 2018, a conversation she had with her sister Kourtney Kardashian spoke about how her waist dropped to 24 inches.

“I can’t take your hips seriously right now…because your waist is so small and then your hips are so big,” a baffled Kourtney said.

“It’s never been 24 ever in my life,” Kim said at the time and noted that her hips were 39 inches.

While Kim has never admitted to rib removal surgery, it is still a procedure that some patients undergo for body contouring and aesthetic purposes.

The procedure, also known as costectomy, involves removing one or more ribs to achieve a slimmer waistline. Sometimes, the procedure may be performed to fix certain medical conditions as well.

The surgery, however, comes with its own risks.

The presence of the ribs in the body helps protect underlying organs, and if the ribs are removed, this could expose organs to the risk of trauma and injury.

Last year, a woman named Jada Sparks revealed that she underwent surgery to achieve a Kim Kardashian-like waist.

She claimed she had parted ways with $19,000 to have the surgery and initially felt “weird” but was happy with the results.

“I went down about 2.5 inches from the start until now. I think I have reached my ultimate result now,” she told Mirror US in 2024.

She said she could feel the “gap” where the removed ribs used to be.

“I can feel it, yes. In the beginning, it felt weird, but your body is an odd thing, it can adapt really quick. So I like the feeling right now of having something ‘missing,’” she said.

“So is it a natural waist,” a netizen asked, “or did ya [sic] pay for it?”
