Kim Kardashian’s entrance to this year’s Met Gala almost hit a snag - literally - after one of her security guards accidentally stepped on her designer gown.
The reality star, 44, was leaving her New York City hotel with 11-year-old daughter North West, her date for the evening, when the moment unfolded.
As the pair were mobbed by flashing cameras and shouting fans, a bodyguard trailing behind lost track of his footing and trod on the train of Kardashian’s dress.
In a video shared by a fan on TikTok, the SKIMS founder can be seen stumbling forward before shooting a sharp look over her shoulder and muttering something under her breath.
She quickly composed herself and continued towards the waiting car.
Despite the hiccup, Kardashian arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art unscathed, stealing the spotlight once again in a dramatic black leather Chrome Hearts gown.

The figure-hugging peplum dress featured cut-outs plunging down her back, an asymmetrical neckline, and silver chain detailing over the skirt.
She completed the look with a bold leather top hat, in line with the evening’s theme: Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which was the first since 2003 to focus exclusively on menswear.
North West added her own playful twist to the night, pairing blue-tinted braids with a monochrome cow-print jacket and shorts and Rick Owens sneakers.

Kardashian was joined at the exclusive fashion event by her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Kendall wore a sculptural design by rising British talent Torishéju Dumi, while Kylie rocked a corseted black and grey Ferragamo dress.
Noticeably absent was Kylie’s boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet, who didn’t walk the carpet alongside her this year but rather watched the NBA playoffs.
