Kim Kardashian is said to be relieved her show-stopping Met Gala appearance is over and done with.
The 41-year-old reality TV star stunned onlookers as she turned up arm in arm with Pete Davidson on the red carpet in New York City wearing the iconic dress Marilyn Monroe wore 60 years ago to sing happy birthday to President John F Kennedy.
And despite saying she was "honoured" to wear the gown, sources say the star is simply relieved she doesn't have to think about it anymore.
An insider told E! Online : "She is so grateful she had the opportunity to wear Marilyn [Monroe]'s dress but was very stressed about fitting in it properly ahead of the Met.
"There was a point in time where she thought she might not be able to pull it off."
And the source added that the star was thrilled to be able to don the outfit next to Pete.
"Kim feels it was her best look yet and is grateful Pete [Davidson] was by her side and that it went amazingly," the source continued. "They had a lot of fun inside and were together most of the night."
It was revealed the SKIMS founder had to drop 16lbs in order to squeeze into what is said to be the world's most expensive dress - worth over £3 million.
The dress is adorned with more than 6,000 crystals, hand-sewn by costumier Jean Louis.
"It was like preparing for a role," she told Vogue about her wardrobe experience.
She also claimed that the Ripley’s team from where she loaned the garment "didn’t believe" she could lose so much weight in such a short amount of time, but said this "challenge" made her even more committed to do so.
Speaking about how she pulled off the feat, she told the publication: "I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein.
"I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict."
It was also revealed that she was actually only in the dress for the red carpet walk before switching into a replica design.
The mum-of-five was terrified of accidentally destroying one of America’s most priceless pieces of history after convincing the current owners of the dress that she should be allowed to wear it to the fashion event of the year.
It's reported Kim spent an astonishing 14 hours having her hair dyed blonde to complete her look.
