Kim Kardashian blasted by Jameela Jamil and Cher Lloyd for 'tone deaf' work comment

Kim Kardashian has been causing a stir online when she told women in business to 'get your f***ing a** up and work'.

The comment was made during her family's chat with Variety and the clip immediately went viral for being 'tone deaf'.

Kim, 41, stated: "I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f****** a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.

"You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do because you have one life. No toxic work environments and show up and do the work.”

Her sister Kourtney agreed with the comment and added: "That's so true."

People criticised Kim and reminded her she has a wealthy family and grew up with immense privilege in Los Angeles, California.

The Good Place star Jameela Jamil caught wind of the comment and gave her two cents on the topic, calling the pattern of wealthy people giving work advice a 'nightmare'.

Jameela tweeted: "I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success / work ethic.

"This same 24 hours in the day s**t is a nightmare. 99% of the world grew up with a very different 24 hours."

She wasn't the only star who reacted to the Kardashian's comment, as X Factor star Cher Lloyd shared Jameela's tweet on Instagram.

The singer, who appeared in the singing competition in 2009, grew up with her parents and three siblings in a council house in Malvern, Worcestershire.

She previously opened up about being bullied at school due to her Romany heritage.

After the video was released, fans of Kim rushed to criticise the family and remind them of their wealth, privilege, and lifestyle.

One disappointed Twitter user said: "Kim Kardashian telling women in business to get their asses up and work the day after International Women's Day has to be the biggest joke of the year."

"Kim Kardashian & Molly Mae telling people to “work hard” after all their success came from pretty privilege is bewildering…," another said.

One shared a picture from Kim's 16th birthday and said: "Not Miss Kimberly who got a BMW at 16 telling me I have to work harder in life."

Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague was previously under fire for making similar comments.

The reality star, who became Creative Director at PrettyLittleThing last year, told people that 'we all have the same 24 hours'.
