Kim Kardashian and Kanye West awkwardly reunited at their son's game

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had an awkward encounter at their son's basketball game.

In a recent development, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had an awkward encounter at their son Saint's basketball game. The former couple, known for their strained co-parenting relationship, were seen together for the first time in a while. Keeping it casual, Kardashian approached West as their daughter Chicago stood between them.

Donning a black t-shirt, West had his back turned to the camera while Kardashian, sporting a black baseball cap and a white tank top, engaged in conversation with him. Other photographs captured Kardashian standing awkwardly while texting, indicating a potentially tense atmosphere.

Notably absent from the event were their other children, North and Psalm, suggesting that they were not present to support their brother, Saint. The divorce filing by Kardashian in February 2021 has been well-documented, and she has been quite candid about the difficulties of co-parenting with West.

During a heartfelt interview in December 2022, she expressed the challenges she has faced. Referring to co-parenting as 'really f--king hard,' Kardashian discussed her efforts to shield her children from their father's controversial behavior, which has unfolded in the public eye over the past few years.

Reflecting on her own father, Robert Kardashian, she expressed a desire for her kids to have positive memories of their father as she did. 'I had the best memories and the greatest experience, and that's all I want for my kids as long as they can have that,' she shared. Kardashian emphasized her intention not to expose her children to the negative energy surrounding their co-parenting dynamic, referring to it as 'heavy grown-up s--t' that they aren't ready to confront.

On West's side, he has also opened up about his own struggles with co-parenting and the challenges he has faced in being heard. During an interview with 'Good Morning America' in September 2022, the rapper revealed that he had to 'fight' to have his voice recognized. Asserting his rights as a father and a Christian, he stated, 'I have a right to have a voice on what my kids are wearing, what they're watching, what they're eating.'

Reports suggest that at the time of the basketball game, Kardashian and West were only communicating through their assistants, which added another layer of difficulty to their co-parenting journey.

It remains to be seen how their co-parenting relationship will progress following this encounter. While their interaction appeared tense, it is essential to remember that co-parenting challenges are not uncommon in many families, particularly when high-profile individuals are involved.

As they navigate their post-divorce lives, hopefully, Kardashian and West can find common ground and prioritize the well-being of their children. It is a journey that many families undertake, and with open communication and mutual respect, they may be able to overcome the hurdles they face.
