Kim Kardashian accused of stealing Met Gala look from Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend

Kim Kardashian has been accused of stealing her Met Gala look from Kanye West ’s ex-girlfriend.

The 43-year-old hit the headlines when she arrived at the prestigious fashion bash in New York wearing a nude, bejewelled dress that was previously worn by Marilyn Monroe.

The Hollywood icon donned the gown to serenade US President John F. Kennedy in 1962, and while it originally cost Marilyn $12,000, it was recently valued at a whopping $5 million.

Kim bleached her dark hair blonde for the occasion, and turned heads on the red carpet as she walked arm-in-arm with new boyfriend Pete Davidson while wearing the gown, teamed with a white fur coat over her shoulders.

But eagle-eyed fans have spotted that her high-fashion look is very similar to that of Amber Rose, who dated Kim’s ex-husband Kanye from 2008 until 2010.

Critics took to Reddit to point out how similar The Kardashians star looked at the Met Gala to model Amber’s gold and nude-coloured dress she wore to the Grammy Awards in 2014.

The outspoken star rocked her signature peroxide buzzcut at the music bash, and looked stunning in a plunging gown, which many said looked very similar to Kim’s headline-making look.

Sharing a close-up of the outfits, one user sarcastically captioned the picture of Kim: “Amber Rose attends the Met Gala.”

“Omggggg she does look like Amber,” another agreed, as one commented: “Amber is prettier/younger/looks more 'real'.”

Kim faced a huge backlash for wearing the iconic gown to the Met Gala, after it emerged she had borrowed it from Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum in Florida.

The mum-of-four confessed she had to lose 16lbs in three weeks to fit into the dress, as it could not be altered, and was forced to wear white gloves as she changed into the dress in a special room ahead of the fashion party.

She then changed into a replica of the dress shortly after walking up the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
