Caretaker boss Mark Campbell has ruled himself out of the running to be the next permanent Kilwinning Rangers manager.
Campbell was handed the reigns at Buffs Park after Chris Strain was sacked last Sunday and led the side for the first time in today's 1-0 derby defeat against Irvine Meadow.
The 44-year-old will remain in post until the end of the season but confirmed to Ayrshire Football News that he won't be going for the job on a full-time basis.
"I've not really got the time," said Campbell, who played for both Buffs and Meadow.
"If I'm at a push maybe assistant - but as a manager, no.
"I have my work and my daughter's showjumping and my time is really involved in that.
"Don't get me wrong - if an offer came in, for instance, to come in and help in some capacity then I'm sure I'd think about and probably take that up.
"I'm here just now and we'll take it week-by-week."
Campbell, who was in the frame to join Strain's backroom team before last week's turn of events, insisted he was pleased with the players' efforts and attitude after a difficult week for the club.
And he lifted the lid on his message to the squad for the remainder of the season.
"Obviously the circumstances of what happened in the last week affect you as a player, but we trained really well Tuesday and Thursday. The boys were different class.
"We're at a stage where we're not fighting relegation, so they should come and enjoy their training, work hard, and look forward to a game to Saturday.
"If you enjoy coming to a game you're going to perform well.
"There's no point in getting on at one another. We just need to encourage one another and do the right things and keep that going for the rest of the season.
