Kilmarnock's ambitious Rugby Park revamp plans revealed including new shop

Kilmarnock have launched ambitious new plans to bring fans closer than ever to the club.

They want to erect a new office unit at Rugby Park, new turnstile entrance, memorial garden, new shop and changing facilities and create a 9-a-side and 5-a-side pitch which will double as a fan zone on matchdays behind the Moffat Stand.

The wheels are well in motion, with drawings completed of the new site plans. The memorial garden will allow Killie supporters to be at Rugby Park long after they die, say bosses.

And the new shop will replace the existing one across from the Frank Beattie Stand.

And the plans look set to get the go-ahead from the council, with Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) having no objections to the plans.

An ARA response said: “The existing vehicle access, egress and circulation strategy, as well as the football club and Park Hotel parking arrangements are not affected by the proposals.

“We have no objections to the proposals.”
