Kilmarnock man admits slapping wife's face during argument

A Kilmarnock man admitted slapping his wife’s face.

Adrian Deeley, 46, of Annan Road, pleaded guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court following the incident which took place within a Sinclair Court property on March 16.

The court heard that the pair, who have been together for 15 years, were having an argument and were both in each others’ faces.

East Ayrshire school kids urged to speak about mental health with campus cops

Deeley was holding a bottle of beer when his partner reached for it, squirting the contents in his face.

He snapped and slapped her face – he apologised and left when asked to do so.

The woman suffered minor bruising to her left cheek but didn’t require medical attention.

More than 100 East Ayrshire residents fined for smoking at bus station and in work vehicles

Defence agent Paul Gallagher explained Deeley’s behaviour was a reaction to a situation where “red mist came down.”

Sheriff Moira McKenzie said: “Hopefully you can put this behind you and move forward with your family.”

Sentence was deferred for good behaviour until June 25.
