Kilmarnock defender Stuart Findlay admits he was 'honoured' to receive POTY award

Stuart Findlay and Gary Dicker both scooped the Kilmarnock Players' Player of the Year, as it was so close they had to split the award.

Chris Burke was also just one vote behind in the ballot.

Killie players voted amongst themselves to decide who bagged the coveted award, as well as the Young Player of the Year.

Greg Taylor picked up that award, which was little shock.

And Findlay was delighted to share the award with Irish midfielder Dicker.

The Scotland defender said: "It's amazing, it's something I would never imagine.

"The boys have been brilliant all season, and to be voted as Player of the Year by them is an amazing feeling.

"I am delighted for Gary as well as he has been amazing for us.

"It's one of those ones, anyone could have been up on that stage - I had five or six names I wanted to nominate.

"I am privileged to have been voted."

He added: "My time at Killie is something I would never have imagined.

"When I came back here I didn't get off to the best of starts, I didn't know where my career was going.

"But when the gaffer came in and the team turned it around it changed, and I feel like I am thriving now.

"I just feel so lucky to be a part of this."
