Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers for Killing Eve series three

Villanelle (Jodie Comer) and Eve (Sandra Oh) are back again with more explosive action and "breathtaking" cliffhangers in the latest instalment of the fan favourite BBC show.

The first episode of the third series of the hit BBC drama was released at 6am on iPlayer on Easter Monday - with one character being killed off straight away according to the Mirror.

Whilst Villanelle believes Eve to be dead after shooting her at the end of the second season, the former MI6 officer is hiding in plain sight working at a restaurant.

Meanwhile, Villanelle has a new life in Spain as a married woman.

But their paths are set to cross once again after a key character is killed off.

Fans took to social media after the gruesome death of one character proved a shock twist in the first episode of the series.

Killing Eve is based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings. It is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd for BBC America and distributed by Endeavor Content.

Killing Eve season 3 episodes will be released every Monday at 6am on BBC iPlayer.

It will also be aired on BBC1 at 9pm on Sundays, starting April 19.
