Kids TV presenters Dick and Dom amaze fans as they make rare return to TV together

Children's TV stars Dick McCourt and Dominic Wood have made a rare return to TV together as part of a spooky a new Channel 4 series.

The presenting duo - best known for hosting their own show Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow - returned on Sunday night as part of the cast of E4's brand new series of Celebrity Ghost Trip.

The BATFA award winners return to screens sparked a flurry of excitement on social media as kids who had grown up watching the comedy couple gushed at how they have changed as they appeal to the 'millennial' market.

One fan tweeted: “Dick and Dom in Da Coach more like!”

Someone else added: “Dick and Dom are on Coach Trip - I’m screaming!”

A third admitted the presenter's were the huge draw to watching the show: “Just wanted to say that I’m watching Celebrity Ghost Trip solely for Dick and Dom. That’s it. That’s the tweet.”

The five-part series sees tour guide Brendan Sheerin head to various parts of the country to check out spooky locations for the celebs to explore.

As well as Dick and Dom, the other celebrity pairings that will take part in the series are Kerry Katona and her daughter Lily McFadden, David Potts, Callum Izzard, Chloe Veitch and Nicole O’Brien.

But Dick and Dom got off to a rocky start during the first episode of the spooky celeb series, which aired last night when they meet with a psychic artist.

The psychic sketcher, named Pauline, decided to pick Dick and Dom first out of the group, claiming that she had found a man connected to the pair.

Dick and Dom remained skeptical about the artists vision (Channel 4)

But the pair failed to be drawn into her vision as Dom asked: "A man in a top hat, in his slippers by the fire. Called Dave. Who is it?"

Richard replied: "I don't know. I really don't know who that was."

Meanwhile show host and coach guide Brendan is thrilled about his return and promised more twists along the way.

Brendan said ahead of the first episode: "I am over the moon that Coach Trip is back and I wait to dust off my clipboard once again!

“It’s a whole new take on the format of the show and I am really looking forward to exploring the UK and seeing a few celebrities step outside of their comfort zone.”

Celebrity Ghost Trip will return to screens on Monday, 24 October, at 10pm on E4.
