Argument at Dublin Airport over who gets window seat on flight has a hilarious outcome

Dublin Airport is where many a dream starts - but it’s also the spot where one of the funniest - and most futile - of kids' rows took place earlier this week.

A Dublin dad has posted a hilarious image that shows exactly why most children’s arguments are pointless.

Mark McGuinness was with his family at Dublin Airport on Tuesday, waiting to board a flight to Manchester where they live, when an argument over who got the window seat kicked off.

Thirteen-year-old Joe and his little sister Emily, 11, were both hellbent on getting the spot with the view so they could get one last birdseye look at our Fair City before they headed back to England.

While the row was settled with Joe getting his way… as Mark’s brilliant picture below proves, well... be careful what you wish for...

Joe McGuinness sees the funny side after winning a row over who got the window seat on a flight at Dublin Airport (Mark McGuinness)

After arriving at their seats, it’s probably fair to say that Emily won’t have been nearly as disappointed to have lost out - it turns out that what would normally be the window seat offered nothing more than a good close-up view of the 737 jet's fuselage.

But you have to hand it to young Joe - he seems to have seen the funny side of things…. if not much else!
