Khloe Kardashian admits she once stole Kris Jenner's car before it was set alight

Khloe Kardashian has revealed she once stole her mum's car to sneak out of the house as a teenager and was horrified to be told the vehicle had caught ablaze.

The 36-year-old may be accustomed to a party lifestyle but at the age of 16 she thought she was "wiser than everybody else" and tried to sneak out without being caught.

The reality star told the story on The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday.

She said: "I stole my mom's Range Rover, not in the middle of the night, it may have been nine or ten [o'clock], but she was already asleep, and I snuck out.

"I stuffed my bed with pillows — I just knew I was wiser than anybody else."

She then told of how she went to a party at a hotel and had parked her car before things got a bit out of hand.

She continued: "The valet comes knocking on the door and they are like, 'Excuse me, there's this car on fire, and your car is next to it and it's burning half of it.'"

Khloe confessed that the incident was caused by someone's scorned lover seeking revenge and her car was unfortunately caught in the crossfire.

"So apparently someone was cheating on their husband," she continued.

"The husband came and lit the wife's car on fire, and I didn't valet my car because I couldn't afford a valet at the time, I was 16.

"And I had my keys, so they couldn't move my car, and half of the Range Rover caught on fire."

The frantic teen then headed for home scared: "I drove with literally half of the car [melting] — there was like, rubber around the windows just dripping down.

"It was drivable, but it was the navy blue Range Rover and it literally changed colour on one side because of the heat. It was so bad."

She told the host that she learned a valuable lesson that night that you don't lie because "you are going to get caught".
