Kevin Nisbet watched by Celtic as John Kennedy admits Hibs scouting trip

John Kennedy admits Celtic have watched Kevin Nisbet as they plan their summer transfer action.

But he insists it is 'disrespectful' to Hibs to talk about it and reckons the Hoops look at any player who has impressed in the Premiership.

Nisbet has been excellent for Hibs this season and Jack Ross had a fight to keep him in January and it's likely to be a similar story again this summer.

The frontman handed in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move to Birmingham after they had a £3m bid rejected.

And the Easter Road side will be looking for that sort of fee at a minimum if they were to sell him this summer.

Kennedy said: "It is a bit disrespectful to talk about other teams' players and I don't know what the new manager will want.

"But players from our league is always the first place to see what's available and can they handle coming to play for Celtic?

"Everyone in this league will be covered. We will know who potentially could be capable of coming and who not.

"Kevin Nisbet has had a good season. Jack Ross has done a terrific job with him as well.

"We will respect that but again it will be the new manager's decision.

"There's continual updates in terms of what they've seen, looked at, what's available and what could be of interest.

Exodus "Things will be put in place for when the club appoint a new manager.

"He has to make the decisions along with the club for what's right for the group of players.

"It's an ongoing process without any decisions being made."
