Manchester City legend Kevin De Bruyne has joined Serie A champions Napoli on a free transfer.
He has reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Tuscan outfit.
The Belgium international called time on his City career in April after playing a key role in one of football’s most dominant dynasties, winning six Premier League titles and one Champions League in his ten years in the North West.
City have committed to commemorating his time at the club with a statue outside the Etihad.
De Bruyne had reportedly been weighing up offers from Napoli and Chicago Fire as he looked for a new challenge, and the newly-crowned Scudetto winners pipped the MLS outfit to his signature.
Napoli confirmed the move in a post on X, writing: “King Kev is here.”

Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis posted a photo of himself shaking hands with the player, captioned: “Benvenuto (welcome) Kevin!”
De Bruyne was spotted in Naples today as he arrived at the club’s training ground to complete a medical exam and sign his contract.
Napoli are currently riding the high of securing a third Serie A title this season, clinched in a dramatic shootout with Inter Milan, whom they pipped by a single point. Former Manchester United man Scott McTominay helped them on their way, opening the scoring in the decisive match with a bicycle kick.
City wasted no time in replacing De Bruyne, already confirming the £46m signing of Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan.
De Bruyne is among the first confirmed departures from City this summer, with Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish both expected to follow suit after falling out of favour. None of the three were named in Pep Guardiola’s Club World Cup squad.
