Kerry Katona says fame left her suicidal - now she wants to do a reality show with her kids

Kerry Katona has said that fame has left her feeling suicidal in the past - but now she wants to do a reality TV show with her kids.

The former Atomic Kitten star has admitted that fame has left her feeling suicidal in the past.

But she also says she wants to be the 'next Kris Jenner' by having a reality show with her kids.

Kerry, who appeared on the most recent series of Celebs Go Dating, says she wants to make her five children famous, despite her own struggles with being in the public eye.

She opened up about feeling suicidal in the past as she reacted to the news of Love Island star Mike Thalassitis' tragic death at the age of 26.

Kerry, 38, told  OK!  magazine: "There have been times in my life where ending it all seemed like the easier option, but there’s always another way.

"It’s so hard when young people who have just got into this industry can’t handle social media and people’s opinions."

But despite her own struggles, Kerry wants to make her kids famous.

She said: "I’d love my own reality show with the kids. I want to be the next Kris Jenner!"

Fitness fanatic Kerry also chatted about learning to love her body.

She said: "You’ve got to learn to love yourself and accept your flaws. I’m covered in  stretch marks  , but that’s my kid’s signatures! I’m proud of them and I’d never change them."

Kerry's time on Celebs Go Dating ended a little differently to her co-stars.

After spending four weeks at the agency going on dates with 'normal' people, she was supposed to choose one lucky fella to whisk away to Tenerife with her.

However, Kerry came to the realisation that she was fine being single after none of the men swept her off her feet.

As the rest of the cast, including Pete Wicks, Megan McKenna and Sam Thompson, took dates on the holiday, Kerry went alone after realising she loves single life.

The TV personality, from Warrington, says she’s "just not ready" to settle down with another man, adding she feels "liberated" on her own.

Speaking to dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson, she said: “It’s massively liberating not to be thinking about men.

"Everyone expects Kerry Katona to be in a relationship but I think they're going to be really shocked.

“You saw a different side of me at the mixer. It was like, 'I can't do it.' I just didn't think I was ready, but having Paul and Anna there to help me just a little bit, it was liberating.”

When she appeared on the E4 dating programme and joked about finding ‘hubby number four’.

But instead Kerry left viewers howling with laughter with the way she conducted herself, telling a bloke called Miguel, “I’ve not had a wash”.

She explained: “You keep doing what you're doing, you're going to keep getting the same results. No more OK magazine wedding shoots for me! I want it to be about me and my career.

“I want to be known for the good that I'm doing now, not about my relationship or who I'm shagging.”

Kerry wants to work on the relationship she has with herself rather than think about a man right now.

She said: “Before my ex, I was on my own for a year. I really needed that.

“Again, doing this show, it's really made me think, ‘I’m just not ready’.

Doing this show has massively helped me realise that I’m perfectly fine on my own.”
