Kerry Katona embarks on diet and fitness mission after health diagnosis

A determined Kerry Katona has declared "hell no!" as she embarks on a diet and fitness regime after being diagnosed with a health condition. The 42-year-old former Atomic Kitten singer asked "who's with me?" as she fights back.

Mother-of-five Kerry is having an overhaul after being diagnosed with Lipoedema, an abnormal build-up of fat in the legs and sometimes arms. The condition, which is more common in women, can be painful and affect daily life according to the NHS.

But Kerry was feeling positive as she shared a video on Instagram of herself working out at home and declared: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life people!! I absolutely love Monday mornings! New day, new week, clean slate, fresh beginning!"

She explained: "I was diagnosed lipidaemia last week which means swelling of the body and random fatty lumps. But f*** that s***!!!" and she added in her upbeat and inspiring message: "Gonna train the s*** out of my body!"

Kerry, who also has a broken foot, continued about her health: "If you look at the video you can see the swelling at the top of my stomach, cross my ribs, and also my shins and knees… their that big they’ve got their own bleeding personalities!!

Former X Factor, I'm A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice star Jake Quickenden applauded: "Get it mate." And francisdiet cheered: "Let’s go go go! First step is always the most scary but what goes in motion stays in motion."

jpaterson68 told her: "OK you've given me the incentive to start today... let's do this x" rossjuifia asked: "Can you put some exercises up on here that would help fellow sufferers too. Keep being inspirational."

familylawcafe messaged: "Thank you Kerry for sharing your positivity - I didn’t know about this condition, will check it out. X" amyposer.x said: "You got this Kerry." And mcladytame commented: "So so respect your determination Kerry. I'm in awe of you Northern Queen."
