KOZHIKODE: Goonda leader Shaiju (44), who challenged the police on social media after he was slapped with Kaapa and barred from entering Thrissur last month, was nabbed from a private resort in Wayanad by the police on Monday morning. His Facebook live video challenging the police had gone viral.
Last week, the goon who hails from Thrissur had said in a social media video, purportedly shot from a boat, that he was at sea and the said restrictions were applicable only on land.
On Monday, he was arrested in connection with a theft case registered by Kottakkal police in which he had secured bail. The court had issued a warrant in the case after Shaiju violated bail conditions. Shaiju is a history-sheeter and an accused in several criminal cases across districts.
