Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state unit would celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by organizing various programmes starting from his birthday on September 17.
BJP Kerala unit president K Surendran said the programmes would last till October 7. It was on an October 7 that Narendra Modi took oath as the chief minister of Gurajat 20 years ago. “Prayers and pujas would be organized for his long life and health, at different places of worship in Kerala on Friday. This would be organized cutting across religious denominations,” Surendran said.
Senior BJP leaders would lead the celebrations at district headquarters. Beneficiaries of various central government schemes and party workers would be sending birthday cards. River protection programmes would be organized at 71 centres across the state. Waste and plastic in rivers and canals would be removed as part of the programme. Programmes congratulating Narendra Modi for providing free Covid-19 vaccine to the public would be organized at vaccine centres.
