KOCHI: Popular art director and movie researcher Sabu Pravada, 70, passed away on Friday morning.
Sabu Pravadas, who was seriously injured in an accident four one week ago, was under treatment at a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
His illustrious career as an art director included the collaborations on many popular Malayalam movies such as Rajavinte Makan, Parvathee Parinayam, Pathram, Lelam, Lokpal, Run Baby Run, Manu Uncle, Vazhoyorakkazhchakal, First Bell, Ottayadippathakal, Amrutham and Kattukuthira. Sabu Pravadas had received the State Award for Best Film Book for his work titled "Navendrajalakam" this year. He worked as designer of many film related events including International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) at Thiruvananthapuram.
Sabu, who is son of Pravada Sukumaran, owner of popular Pravada Studio in Ernakulam, was one of the founding leaders of Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA).
The mortal remains of Sabu would be kept at his house at Satellite colony in Padamugal on Saturday, for the public to pay last respect.
The cremation would be held at Athani crematorium in Kakkanad near Ernakulam around 11am. Sabu Pravadas, is survived by wife Sherly and son Aswin Sabu
