Kenny McLean will not be heading to Rangers this summer after signing a new deal at Norwich City.
The Canaries announced their captain and Player of the Year had signed a new two-year contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028.
Rangers have regularly been linked with the midfielder and there has been an appetite amongst fans for him to be signed, especially after the club outlined plans to recruit more leaders and have more of a Scottish spine.

“The environment I find myself in every day with the staff and the players is great to be amongst.
“I want more of that and I think everything is being laid now to bring that success to the football club. I'm desperate to be a part of that.”
Sporting director Ben Knapper added: “Kenny couldn’t be more deserving of this extension, and we’re delighted to get it agreed and finalised.
“He sits at the heart of everything we’re doing here, and what he did last season was incredible. His performance level, consistency, and leadership are vital for us, and the way he represents the club both on and off the field is first class.
“He’s our captain and talisman, and he plays a huge part in driving daily standards, shaping our culture, and helping to develop and support our younger players. The way he has embraced that role whilst continuing to perform at the highest of levels is testament to his quality, character, and professionalism.
“He is Norwich City, and hopefully there will be many more special moments ahead for him here with us.”
