Kelvinhall Subway Station locked down after 'passenger incident'

Kelvinhall Subway station is currently locked down as emergency services deal with a 'passenger incident'.

Ambulance workers are currently rushing to the scene.

The nature of the incident is not clear, nor is it clear if there have been any casualties or injuries.

The station, located in the cities west end, is currently closed to the public with no passengers permitted inside.

Trains are running but are not stopping at Kelvinhall.

It is unknown how long the situation will last for.

Glasgow Subway Station bosses wrote on Twitter: "Apologies all, Kelvinhall Station is currently closed to passengers while we deal with a passenger incident. Ambulance service is on way. No trains are stopping at the station & passengers cannot access the platform. Will update when station reopens."

Glasgow SPT told Glasgow Live: "Kelvinhall station is currently closed, we are waiting on ambulance for passenger who requires assistance on platform. Trains are running but are not stopping at Kelvinhall."

British Transport Police and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
