Kelly Osbourne has shared an emotional message with fans following the death of her father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, saying she will “not be OK for a while” and is living through the “hardest moment” of her life.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 40-year-old presenter and singer thanked fans for their outpouring of support since Ozzy passed away on July 22 at the age of 76.
The Black Sabbath frontman was laid to rest last week at his family’s 250-acre estate, Welders House, in Buckinghamshire.
“I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times and still don’t know if the words will ever feel like enough… but from the bottom of my heart, thank you,” Kelly wrote.

“The love, support, and beautiful messages I’ve received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life… I will not be OK for a while – but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind.”
She ended her message with the hashtags #BirminghamForever and #OzzyForever - a tribute to the city that shaped her father’s legendary career.
Ozzy’s funeral took place last week, with a private burial held on the grounds of the family estate. The home, which Ozzy and wife Sharon purchased in 1993, was described as a long-time sanctuary for the couple and their children.

It had been revamped in recent years to include a wellness wing, following the singer’s 2020 Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
Kelly, who wore her father’s trademark purple-tinted glasses during the funeral procession, was seen laying floral tributes alongside her siblings Jack and Aimee, and Ozzy’s eldest son Louis.
A tearful Kelly also embraced Jack at Birmingham’s Black Sabbath Bridge, where fans had gathered to honour the Prince of Darkness.
Kelly and her father had a very close bond. Ozzy once told Rolling Stone, “If I’ve got a favourite kid, it’s Kelly… Me and Kelly, we’re like two peas in a pod!”

The pair famously released a chart-topping cover of “Changes” in 2003, reworking the Black Sabbath ballad into a father-daughter duet.
Just two weeks before Ozzy’s death, Kelly had spoken proudly of his health and excitement ahead of what would become his final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham. “My dad is amazing!” she said at the time.
“He’s so excited for his final show… the rehearsals have been incredible. It’s going to be a very emotional moment.”

Kelly, who got engaged to Slipknot’s Sid Wilson shortly after that final performance, also recently shared bittersweet wedding plans, noting she had hoped to have a small destination ceremony with Ozzy by her side. “I want nothing to do with [planning] it,” she said.
“Because if it were up to me, we’d get married at the registry office and then take over a pub - but it’s not up to me. I’m letting my mum plan it.”
