Kelly Osbourne Cries Watching Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Black Sabbath Performance

Kelly Osbourne couldn’t hold back the tears as she watched her dad, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, take to the stage for what was his final performance with Black Sabbath. The emotional moment was one she’ll never forget, and she opened up to fans about just how much it meant to her and her family.

Taking to Instagram Stories after the show on Sunday, 6 July, Kelly, 40, shared a heartfelt video thanking everyone who made the night so special. “I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you,” she said. “Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night, and thank you to everybody who was involved in the show last night. You have no idea what it did for my dad.”

Fighting back more tears, she added, “It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I’m probably going to end up crying again. So, that’s all I’ll say for now. Thank you”, reported US Weekly.

Ozzy, now 76, revealed back in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. In light of his health struggles, his wife Sharon Osbourne helped organise a final on-stage reunion with his Black Sabbath bandmates. The aim was to give him one last moment in the spotlight — and it turned into something truly unforgettable.

The farewell show, held at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham, was more than just a concert. It was a homecoming, a tribute, and a fundraiser all rolled into one. Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward joined Ozzy on stage, bringing the original Black Sabbath lineup back together in the city where it all began. Proceeds from the concert went to charities including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

In the lead-up to the big night, Ozzy opened up about the effort he was putting in behind the scenes to get himself stage-ready. “I do weights [and] bike riding, I’ve got a guy living at my house who’s working with me,” he told The Guardian in May. “It’s tough. I’ve been laid up for such a long time. I’ve been lying on my back doing nothing, and the first thing to go is your strength. It’s like starting all over again.”

He didn’t sugarcoat the challenges he’s been facing either. “I have problems walking,” he admitted. “I also get blood pressure issues from blood clots on my legs. I’m used to doing two hours on stage, jumping and running around. I don’t think I’ll be doing much jumping or running around this time. I may be sitting down.”

But none of that stopped him. Against the odds, he got up there one last time and gave fans a performance they’ll never forget. For Kelly, seeing her dad back on stage surrounded by love and support was everything — a moment full of pride, emotion and a whole lot of rock and roll.
