Sir Keir Starmer has hijacked King Charles and Queen Camilla’s royal plane in an Austin-Powers inspired SNL UK sketch.

The sketch comedy show opened on Saturday night with a political skit that featured the King and Queen as they returned to the UK following their historic visit to the US.

Discussing the visit, Camilla (Emma Sidi) praised Charles (Larry Dean) for his speech to Congress to which he replied: “Mission accomplished Camilla. Still, I’m glad to be heading home. I just hate being any country where my mummy is not on the money.”

The pair are offered chicken or fish for their flight meal before they are interrupted by the pilot who declares that they are turning the plane around back to America.

Sir Keir (George Fouracres) appeared from the cockpit to reveal that he is the pilot and explained: “I was dusting off some of my old legal textbooks, and I came across a rather intriguing statute. Did you know that a prime minister cannot be removed while the monarch is out of the country?”

“What other choice did I have doing a good job?”

One of the flight attendants swooped in and punches Sir Keir before revealing it’s Angela Rayner (Celeste Dring).

She said: “I’m taking us home because I’ve been looking through some old legal textbooks and I’ve realised, if you’re not in the country, then I can’t do this thing I’m planning.”

She is quickly taken out by another flight attendant (Jack Shep) who described himself as the “one member of the British public who loves Keir Starmer”.

He added: “That’s right. I was indoctrinated online by the radical centre left and now I’m in charge of this plane.”

However, as he muttered his last word he collapsed before Charles said: “I knew there was something fishy about that chap.

“That’s why, right after take off, I secretly slipped 47 of you weed gummies, darling.

“Like I’ve always said, you come for the king, you best not miss.”

Saturday’s show stars Sex Education and White Lotus actress Aimee Lou Wood as its host with music from British breakthrough artist, Meek.

The Sky Original show is broadcast live from London and sees a different host each week alongside the show’s cast, which includes actor Hammed Animashaun and comedians Ayoade Bamgboye and Ania Magliano.
