KEF's latest teaser reveals more of its upcoming speakers' curved, "luxury" design

KEF is edging ever closer to revealing its latest set of speakers.

The British brand has already teased that a new model is in the works via an Instagram video, which teases the return of the company's much-heralded Uni-Q driver alongside a curved cabinet exterior.

Now, KEF has announced an exclusive launch event at its London headquarters on July 30th, where it will unveil its latest creation.

The accompanying picture gives a little more insight into the form that product could take. KEF has deliberately kept most of the teaser image veiled in shadows, but squint and you'll be able to make out more of that curved cabinet surrounding the unmistakable impression of a Uni-Q driver array.

According to the teaser: "True luxury does not begin with a declaration, but with an absence. A space. A silence. And then, a single note that changes everything." Not a huge amount given away there, then.

What we can say with relative confidence is that the new speaker will be designed in collaboration with Ross Lovegrove, the man who lent his talents to crafting the smooth, curved looks of KEF's Muo Bluetooth speaker and Mu wireless earbuds/headphones.

As we previously reported, KEF is promising "stunning sound clarity, sharper details and an expanded soundstage that fully immerses you in the artist's creative vision".

How much it will take to get that stunning sound hasn't yet been revealed, but with KEF teasing "luxury" from its latest creation, we'd imagine it won't come cheap.

We'll soon know for certain. The new KEF speaker will be revealed on Thursday, 30th July, so you'll only have to wait a week to find out. Stay tuned to What Hi-Fi? for all of the details as and when they arrive.
