'Kebab garden' at Scots Turkish restaurant is a 'game changer'

Kebab lovers can finally enjoy their favourite doner in a 'romantic' setting thanks to an Aberdeen takeaway.

In what could be one of Scotland's only 'kebab gardens', punters can tuck into a hearty feast on a special patio outside Marmaris on Rose Street.

The seating area features classy furniture next to a flower bed.

The decking is also protected from the north-east's unpredictable weather by a parasol.

Posting a picture of the superb set up on Twitter, local Nathan McLean wrote: "Aberdeen (unsurprisingly) changing the game."

He told the Record: "It's nice Aberdeen finally has a place kebab lovers can enjoy a romantic doner."

Sadly a 10pm curfew on pubs, bars and restaurants brought into effect by Nicola Sturgeon earlier this week means customers won't be able to have any post-night out kebab dates at the new spot.

But that won't stop people stopping by to enjoy a kebab when the sun is shining in the Granite City.

Social media users were quick to hail the kebab garden online.

One person wrote: "hahahhaa brilliant."

While another commented: "Why is this the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time?"

We previously reported how a makeshift outdoor seating area put together at a Motherwell boozer in July was trolled for having 'The Worst Beer Garden in Scotland'.

The  Brass Button  went viral after a picture of their make-shift outdoor seating area behind the pub went was shared on social media

Dozens of furious locals have jumped to their defence and have branded it the “best wee pub in the shire” who are said to do  delicious cocktails.

One drinker said: “Best pint in Motherwell by far hands down you can keep your posh establishments canny beat a pub with culture and the brass button gives you that and great pints.

“It’s the hub of north Motherwell.”

Another added: “Nobody leaves the button remembering the decor. Best wee pub in the shire.”

A third wrote: “A pub with wonderful owners and friendly staff doing what they can during hard times to give their regulars a place to go.

“Best drinks around. We travel from  Carluke  to collect pints and cocktails because they are that good.

“People should jump off their high horse and think would you not do anything you could to get your business open asap and give the locals who have been lonely for weeks a place to go for a pint and a smile.”
