Keanu Baccus to Bolton deal OFF as star midfielder stays with St Mirren

Keanu Baccus St Mirren Buddies English League One

Saints star Keanu Baccus' prospective move to Bolton Wanderers has fallen through.

The Australia international looked set to join the English League One side after the two clubs originally agreed a fee.

But Renfrewshire Live Sport understands the switch has now fallen through, with the 25-year-old set to remain with the Buddies.

An unnamed English Championship club have also been linked with a move for the former Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder, who is currently in Belfast with the Buddies for their pre-season training tour.

St Mirren face Glentoran tomorrow night in their first friendly of the trip, before taking on Linfield on Saturday.

Stephen Robinson is hoping to keep hold of star midfielder Baccus this summer as he looks to build on their top six success this season. The talented Socceroo still has a year left to run of his current contract.
