The issue here, says the company, has to do with the seat belt mounting bolts used in these units. Like all OEMs, the company has torque specifications that it requires during assembly, and the bolts in question apparently were not torqued down appropriately.
Thus, the seatbelt mounting bolts could loosen, rendering the seatbelts either less effective or ineffective. If you're wearing a seatbelt, you clearly want it to do something, so that's obviously a safety concern.
Kawasaki Motors Corporation USA is asking 2025 Ridge and Ridge Crew owners to immediately stop using their Ridges until they can contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer and arrange for repair of this issue. The repair service will be conducted free of charge to the customer.
