Katy Perry baby shower woes amid claim Orlando Bloom relationship is 'stressed'

Katy Perry fears she won’t be able to celebrate her pregnancy to the fullest amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 35-year-old chart-topping star is expecting her first ever child with 43-year-old fiancé Orlando Bloom – with the couple sharing their happy news back in March.

With the world in lockdown due to the ongoing global health crisis caused by the deadly COVID-19 virus, Katy hinted that she won’t be able to celebrate her first ever pregnancy in the style she would like.

Taking to fans via Facebook on Sunday, Katy revealed her plans for a baby shower have been put on ice until the current health crisis is resolved.

Katy and Orlando had hoped to tie-the-knot in Japan later this year – but those plans have also been scuppered by the coronavirus pandemic, with wedding plans shifted to 2021.

The couple have reportedly seen their romance tested by the current health crisis.

A source told US Weekly last month: "Their relationship has changed since she got pregnant.

"Some days, you know, you lose perspective. Like, I was showering, and I was like, 'Gotta be grateful, gotta be grateful, no matter what you're going through you gotta be grateful," she said.

"I know that there's probably a lot of people going through a lot of intense things right now,” she added.

Katy and Orlando began dating since 2016 and became engaged in February 2019.

While Katy is expecting baby number one, the new child will be the second for Lord of the Rings star Orlando after he welcomed a son named Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr in 2011.
