Katie Taylor v Delfine Persoon confirmed for Anthony Joshua v Jarrell Miller undercard

The stage has officially been set for the biggest women's professional boxing match in history as Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon collide on June 1.

Scheduled for Madison Square Garden, the  massive unification bout will take place on the undercard of Anthony Joshua v Jarrell Miller.

2012 Olympic champion Taylor now holds three of the four associations' lightweight straps and only WBC champ Persoon stands in her way.

Taylor comprehensively put away Rose Volante last month to claim the WBO belt - paving the way for a big money mega-fight with the 43-1 Belgian.

Katie Taylor would love Dublin mega fight - but admits it's out of her hands

The Bray lightweight dropped the Brazilian in the first round and dominated from that point on.

The fight was stopped after an accidental clash of heads in the penultimate round left Volante with a suspected broken nose.

Speaking after that fight, Taylor said: “Now we can start talking about Delfine Persoon. I have the three belts, she’s got the WBC belt. We have to get the fight on, I want to become unified champion.”

But Persoon's manager is bullish about their chances ahead of the fight, claiming that it will be the hardest fight of Taylor's career.

Also her manager, Filiep Tampere didn't predict a win but vowed: “She promises Katie the hardest fight of her life.”
