Katie Taylor is reportedly in talks to take on her old rival Estelle Yoka-Mossely later this year.
Mossely handed Taylor her first defeat in 11 years when she beat the Bray boxer in the semi-final of the 2016 World Championships just months before going on to win gold at the Rio Olympics.
And according to ESPN, the pair are in talks about renewing that rivalry later this year.
Taylor's 2016 loss sent shockwaves through the women's boxing world and Taylor later endured Olympics disappointment before turning professional.
However, Taylor has excelled as a pro and is the undisputed world lightweight champion with 18 wins and defeats.
French boxer is unbeaten in nine pro fights and could pose as a mandatory challenger to Taylor, with Eddie Hearn previously hoping for Taylor to fight in September.
The plan would be then for Taylor to put her lightweight crown on the line once more in a grudge rematch with Natasha Jonas, who she defeated last month, or finally take on Amanda Serrano in a big money super-fight.
The promoter said last month: “She has about seven mandatories lining up. I want her to box on a huge show I'm doing in Leeds on September 4.
“I'd like her to fight on that card because she's a big Leeds fan as well, so that's next.
“Then I want to either rematch Natasha Jonas or fight Amanda Serrano in December.”
When asked about who Taylor could fight, Hearn added: “Just one of the mandatories.
“Estelle Mossely, the girl who won the Olympics, something like that.”
Bookmaker Ladbrokes make Katie Taylor odds-on at 1/4 to beat her Estelle Yoka-Mossely, with her old rival the outsider for the rematch at odds of 3/1.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Katie Taylor is a different fighter now, she is a world champion, and it will take something special to beat her.”
