Katie Price's daughter Princess claims Mucky Mansion was 'scary' and full of 'bad experiences'

Princess Andre has spoken candidly about growing up in Katie Price’s notorious “Mucky Mansion” and admitted she “didn’t really like it” because of the bad memories tied to the home.

The 18-year-old daughter of Price and Peter Andre reflected on life inside the crumbling nine-bedroom Sussex property during an interview with The Guardian as she promotes her new ITV2 reality series, The Princess Diaries.

“It was a really scary house. A lot went on there. So I didn’t really like it,” Princess said. “I guess when you have bad experiences somewhere you don’t like the place.”

The mansion, once valued at £2 million, became infamous for its clutter, disrepair and repeated financial dramas. It was eventually sold for £1.5 million in December, but not before its dilapidated state - complete with piles of rubbish, broken furniture and even a rotting horsebox in the garden - became the subject of Price’s Channel 4 series Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion.

While Princess did not go into detail about her own experiences, Price has long claimed the house was haunted. Over the years, the former glamour model said she heard a child’s spirit in the halls, while a number of her pets died there.

At one stage she told friends she had therapy over her anxiety around the property, which she branded “cursed.”

The 47-year-old star declared bankruptcy for a second time in March last year, owing more than £760,000 to HMRC, and admitted she was relieved to finally move on from the house. “I can’t wait to get out of that house, I’ve had nothing but bad memories in that house for nine years,” she said at the time. “Whoever buys it, I warn them, they will get bad luck there.”

Princess contrasted the chaotic atmosphere at her mother’s with life at her father Peter Andre’s family home. “Dad’s house is a lot quieter, a lot more peaceful, a lot more organised,” she explained.

“Whereas my mum’s house is much more just do what you want. I love being in the middle – if I fancy a bit more chaotic and busy I’ll go to Mum’s, and if I fancy more relaxed I’ll go to Dad’s.”

Peter Andre is now married to Dr Emily MacDonagh (PA Wire)

Her comments come against the backdrop of renewed tension between her parents, who divorced in 2009 but remain co-parents to Princess and her older brother Junior, 20.

Last week Peter, 52, who is now married to Dr Emily MacDonagh, issued a strongly worded social media statement after Katie suggested their children live equally between them - a claim he disputed.

A source told The Sun: “Pete had to speak out because things had just become unbearable. Katie lies about Pete and the kids all the time and he was sick of it.”

Katie has since called for “peace talks,” insisting Princess has been unfairly caught in the middle of their feud, particularly after speculation about why she didn’t appear in her daughter’s new series.
