Katie Price has said she feels “incredibly upset” over claims that her husband Lee Andrews has been trying to tout a reported sex tape of the pair.
The “humiliated” former glamour model, who married Andrews in January just days after meeting him, denied that there is any explicit footage of the couple.
The 48-year-old spoke out after The Sun alleged that it had obtained a voice message Andrews had reportedly sent to a friend earlier this month discussing the alleged video.
He allegedly said he needed to raise money quickly and told a friend that a “short video” involving his wife could be flogged for “a pretty penny” and could be sold for £250,000 to a newspaper.
Andrews then reportedly backtracked after learning it would be illegal and said he “wasn’t being serious” in the apparent message, which was reportedly shared before his latest prison stint in Dubai.
Price’s representative denied that any such video existed.
The reality star later issued her own statement, saying on her Instagram Story: “This story is completely untrue. I have never made such a tape and any suggestion otherwise is false and deeply misleading.
“The claims appear to be based on a voicenote sent from Lee discussing a tape… a tape which does not exist and never will. This material has been passed to The Sun by a third party and does not reflect reality.
“I feel incredibly upset, abused and humiliated that such serious and false allegations have been shared publicly without any factual basis.”
Andrews was detained over alleged unpaid debts in Dubai but could be released within days, sources claimed last week.
He was transferred to Al-Awir prison last Monday after initially being held in isolation following his arrest, according to The Sun.
Andrews, who allegedly wears a hairpiece, was reportedly required to have his head shaved upon entering the prison and was visibly unhappy with the move.
The businessman was reportedly arrested over multiple unpaid debt cases in the UAE, including an alleged dispute with a car rental company over an outstanding bill of 266,060 dirhams (around £54,000).
Sources familiar with the matter claim Andrews has told fellow inmates he has now secured the money needed to settle the debts and expects to be released once the payments have been processed by the authorities.
“Lee was quick to mouth off about getting released the last time he was in and today has been no different,” the insider told the publication.
Price is currently in the UK promoting the release of her Sky documentary. Earlier this month, she appeared on This Morning where she defended their marriage.
Within months of their wedding, Andrews vanished and claimed to have been kidnapped, only for it to emerge he had been held in a jail cell.
Andrews, a self-proclaimed millionaire, who has faced conman allegations, was released from prison in Dubai in June after being arrested on reported fraud charges. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing and allegations he is a conman.
Last month, US businesswoman Crystal Janke alleged she gave £123,000 to invest in one of Andrew's schemes only to be left with nothing. Later in June, it was alleged Andrews took £5,000 from a "desperate" woman in Dubai while promising to arrange a property investment visa for her.
