While many in the US celebrated Labor Day weekend, TV presenter Kathie Lee Gifford’s family had an extra special one as Gifford's son Cody tied the knot.
Cody, who is a filmmaker, married actor Erika Brown on Monday and photos have been shared of their wedding on Instagram.
Gifford said she was “so grateful” on Instagram as she shared a picture of the newlyweds, holding hands as they walked down a driveway lined with hedges. The bride wore an off the shoulder white gown with tulle balloon sleeves as Cody opted for a dapper black suit.
She wrote, “God gave us a glorious day to celebrate this glorious couple.”
Erika, whose Instagram handle now reflects her new name @msamerikabrown, also shared a picture of the pair smiling on their wedding day. Referencing a Bible verse (Matthew 19:6), she captioned the post, “Happily Ever After.”
In the days leading up to the wedding, she also shared a picture of an alternate wedding dress (a dramatic flowing lace gown) as well as a picture of herself in a white ‘Bride’ swimsuit.
One detail which isn’t visible in the couple’s wedding shots is a mistake on Erika’s veil, which she said she designed herself. Tucked away in a gallery, Erika shared a picture of a spelling error on the veil which was meant to read “The”, but instead read “Tte”.
Saying she #mayjustrockit regardless, she wrote, “This is 2020 ladies and gents. This is 2020.”
