Kate Middleton Reveals Cancer Diagnosis In Emotional Video Message.

Kate Middleton at the Shaping Us National Symposium

A photo agency has added a warning to the footage of Kate Middleton disclosing her cancer diagnosis. The message from Getty Images states that the clip was provided by a third-party organization and may not adhere to Getty Images' editorial policy. This editor's note was added as a standard practice for any photo or footage provided by outside organizations, in this case, Kensington Palace.

Following the release of a heavily edited photo of Middleton and her children on UK Mother's Day, several major agencies deemed the palace as not a 'trusted source.' The Princess of Wales, aged 42, shared an emotional video on March 22, revealing that she had been undergoing preventative chemotherapy and needed time to rest and recover. The speech, filmed by the BBC from the gardens at Windsor Castle, was entirely written by Middleton herself.

A source mentioned that Middleton personally delivered the speech and chose the timing to share the news with the world. She expressed gratitude for the support of her husband, Prince William, throughout her recuperation and shared that they waited to disclose the news until their children fully understood her condition.

Reports from the Daily Mail suggested that Kensington Palace hurried the release of Middleton's video due to a leak of her diagnosis. While the source did not specify the origin of the leak, rumors of a leak from the London Clinic, where Middleton had undergone abdominal surgery in January, were dismissed by other sources.

Over the Easter weekend, Middleton, William, and their three children opted to spend time at their vacation home, Sandringham Estate, instead of attending Easter services with the rest of the royal family. Despite facing his own cancer battle, King Charles III attended church services, displaying a brave face.
