Kate Middleton lets slip William's annoying messy habit when they're relaxing at home

Their slick behind-the-scenes video of the Coronation gave fans a sneak peek of the royal couple's plush London home.

The footage, released by the Prince and Princess of Wales on their social media accounts, shows the pair getting ready for the monumental crowning of King Charles, with them then setting off from Kensington Palace.

It offered fans a brief glimpse of what life might be like to live behind palace walls, but many still may wonder what William and Kate are really like when they are off duty - either at Kensington Palace or their place in Windsor, Adelaide Cottage.

Well, it seems that William has one rather messy trait - and it's something that seemingly annoys Kate.

On a trip to an RAF base in Cyprus in 2018, they met military personnel serving on the island and opened a new recreation facility.

Looking around at the new decor of the room, William warned: "Keep the pizza off the sofas".

And then Kate revealed her husband is the worst offender for it, saying: "You're a nightmare with that", reports the Express.

But it seems it's not just pizza that the royal pair enjoy eating - and trying to keep off the sofa - while relaxing at home, as there are other takeaways they are rather partial to on an evening.

When asked what her top takeaway was during an interview on BBC Radio 1 in 2017, Kate insisted: "Curry, definitely. "

But the royal couple can't share their meals as Kate explained that her husband doesn't like her spicy tastes.

In the clip from the Coronation, William, Kate, Charlotte and Louis appear in what appears to be a living room after getting ready on the morning of the big day.

And the clip shows that the room is like many others across the country - as it is filled with family photos and mementoes.

Among the heartwarming images is one of Charlotte to mark her fourth birthday and another of Louis released for his first birthday, which can be seen as Kate enters the room.

In another shot as Charlotte and Louis gaze out of the window, a framed photo can be seen of Kate's proud parents Carole and Michael on her wedding day.

However, one thing that most probably don't have in their homes is a portrait of Princess Juliane of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, which also hangs on one of the walls.

The princess was an aunt of Queen Victoria, who was also a previous resident at Kensington Palace.
