MYSURU: Heavy rain lashed Malnad region while light showers hit parts of Mysuru in the wee hours of Thursday.
The downpour affected normal life in Malnad region and Mysuru.
According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) sources, heavy rainfall was reported in all hoblis of Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur on Wednesday night.
Sakaleshpur taluk in Hassan district also witnessed heavy rainfall.
Electricity supply was disrupted in most parts of the Kodagu district.
Following heavy rainfall, water level in the river Cauvery increased.
Four crest gates opened in Harangi dam located in the district.
