Karen Hauer vows never to date a dancer again after divorce from Kevin Clifton

Karen Hauer has declared she will never date another dancer following the collapse of her marriage to Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin Clifton.

The 39-year-old Venezuelan Strictly pro was married to former fellow show dance pro 38-year-old Kevin between 2015 and 2018 – and was previously married to former dance partner Matthew Hauer.

Her first marriage ended in 2009, and in October last year Karen split from 37-year-old opera singer David Webb following a two year romance.

Karen says she is now ready to find new love once again – but is making it clear she will not be waltzing towards any other dancers.

Karen Hauer has described her ideal man – following her divorce from Kevin Clifton and split from David Webb (PA)

She told The Sun on Sunday: “I’m not dating any more dancers, absolutely not, no way.

“I married two of them already. I think I’m done in that area now, I’m moving on.”

Indeed, Karen now sounds like she has quite a specific idea of the type of man she wants to settle down with – and he would look different form her dark haired past lovers.

She said: “My ideal man would have blond hair, blue eyes, tattoos and a good body, pretty much the opposite to my exes. You always want to go the complete opposite.”

Describing her ideal man further, she added: “They definitely need to work out.

“They need to know themselves, be nice and know what they want, because I know myself now.”

Back in February, Karen opened up about the pain she endured while divorcing Kevin.

She said: “Obviously, other things happen, there are other factors that happened, that really hurt us both. But I thought... I would have never let go of it. I wouldn’t have never, never let go of it.

“I would have liked to have fought for it. It took me a year after we separated to actually let go of him."

While in March she opened up about feeling lonely after the collapse of her romance with David – which ended in October last year.

She said: “I'm living alone now and it's hard. It's so hard.

“You wake up to see yourself in the mirror and you have to put up with yourself, you know, 24 hours a day.

"And you're like, 'Oh my God, I didn't know I didn't like myself sometimes, I'm annoying!'

"But to be able to go out and expend the energy and kind of, you know, communicate with people at a different level, it feels good. And it feels nice and it feels like you're actually giving back to the community."
